Fish Farming 4.0: Efficiency and Control

Problem

Our client, a fish farm with 26 ponds, needed to efficiently monitor and control the operation of the pumps responsible for water recirculation and oxygenation. Critical parameters such as voltage, current, and frequency for each pump were required, as well as the ability to turn the motors on, off, and adjust their speed. The lack of a centralized system made real-time control difficult, increasing the risk of undetected failures and the response time to critical events.

Solution

We implemented an integrated local and remote control system that combines an on-site touchscreen interface for direct operation with cellular connectivity for access from anywhere in the world. The system provides real-time visualization of the status of all pumps (voltage, current, frequency), as well as the on/off and speed variations of the motors. Furthermore, in the event of any anomaly or failure (such as overcurrent, phase loss, or disconnection), the system automatically detects and displays it in real time both on the local screen and in the remote environment, ensuring an immediate response.
